The Swimming Gala is open to Cubs, Scouts and Explorers.

There are several races to take part in, normally backstroke, breaststroke, freestyle and relay. The younger Cub section, C, will be swimming widths while all others swim lengths.

On alternate years a sponsored swim is held instead of a gala. This is to raise funds for both the District and for each Group. After the sponsored swim there is a fun swim for all involved.
