The District Football Competition saw many teams, across all the sections, turn out on Saturday at May & Bakers for a day full of good, clean, friendly football

Each section played two leagues, with the top two in each going through to a set of finals. It was a close competition which saw an unusual number of finals resulting in draws, with next to nothing seperating the teams.

After all the sections had finished and had given out their trophies and certificates, the Explorers played their challenge match against a leader select 7. The game was played in a fair (well ... sort of) and good humoured manner throughout and the Explorers won by a single goal (with the leaders missing a penalty and their chance to equalise not once, but twice).
