Introduction

ScoutsIn Barking and Dagenham we have fourteen Groups and two Explorer units, we also have an active Scout Fellowship.

Whether you are young or old Scouting has something to offer you, even if you only have one evening a month we would still like to welcome you to the Barking and Dagenham Scouting family.

Sports Day

Sports Day This years Sports Day saw the District meet at Mayesbrook Arena, for a lovely sunny day packed full of running, jumping, throwing and general sportiness!

Walton Trip

Walton On Saturday 14th June we had a trip to Walton-on-the-Naze. The weather was kind to some of us but a little bit naughty to others. There were 64 travelling in a coach and two minibuses plus we met another 10 people down there who made their own way

FootballThe District Football Competition saw many teams, across all the sections, turn out on Saturday at May & Bakers for a day full of good, clean, friendly football

St. George's Day

St. George's DayBarking & Dagenham Scout District braved the elements to turn out for the annual St. George's Day Parade.

Despite the weather those present put on a good show and enjoyed an active service which saw St. George overcome the dragon and win the fair maiden!

The 9th Scouts organised a meal in formal dress back in January and were already planning to go again before dessert!

Hike Challenge

Hike ChallengeCongratulations to the 9th B&D on winning both the Hiking Challenge trophies.

The Troop have walked over a third of the way around London, over 100 miles! They won the trophy for completing the most legs of the London Loop and for producing the best report.
