Chigwell Row Guide Campsite
Guide to the Camping Competition
Nights Away Forms
This event costs the district around £400. All donations are welcome
The Camping Competition is open to all the Scouts in the District. The Scouts plan a programme and menu and attempt to camp for the weekend following the guidelines and rules.
There are two tiers. The Len Bridge Challenge Trophy is open to Scouts of any experience level. These Scouts get assistance from a leader that is assigned to them. The winner is not the best Patrol but the most improved. The St. George's Trophy is for experienced campers. The rules are stricter and the Scouts receive no help from the leaders (other than is required for health and safety reasons).
Teams of 4-8 Scouts are allowed although Troops are encouraged to enter any Scouts as combined teams can be made up if you have numbers outside this range. Troops may also enter more than one team.

Notes
Leaders are reminded that the official B&D Nights Away forms MUST be used for this event and must be completed correctly for all that attend the competition.
A home contact must be arranged by each group, there will NOT be a central District one.
Please remember that each Patrol must cater for one extra leader at every meal.
Only those people who have permission to stay will be allowed to help over the weekend. Please do not assume you are able to stay just because you are a leader.
