What paperwork do I need?
Once you have signed up for Camp BADX, you will receive your nights away forms and be expected to return them within 2-3 weeks of receiving them. You will also need your even passport which needs to be brought with you to camp.

You will need to hand them back to Jamie (Explorer Webmaster). He can be contacted by visiting the contact page.

Can we attend without a leader?
Yes. You may attend Camp BADX without a leader. However, you must seek permission from your Scout leader.

What do we need to bring with us?
Your basic camping equipment will be needed. Some examples are sleeping bag, roll mat, cutlery, any medication needed (which needs to be handed to the camp first aider), change of clothes, torch, spare batteries, spare footwear, waterproofs, coat, jumpers.

Can we bring mobile phones/mp3 players/games consoles etc?
Yes, but they are at the sole responsibility of you and not the leaders, organisers or campsites responsibility.

Do we need to arrive in uniform?
Yes. You must arrive in top-half uniform (shirt and scarf).

Should we bring / buy / acquire / consume alcohol?
No. We have received new guidance in May 2006 that the Scout Associations policy has changed and no alcohol should be consumed by those under the age of 18. This guidance replaces all previous guidance and parental consent forms that may have been in place in the past.

There will be a strict no alcohol policy at Camp BADX and anyone found with alcohol will be sent home immediately.

Can we bring / buy / acquire / smoke cigarettes?
No. There will be a strict no smoking policy at Camp BADX and anyone found with cigarettes will have them taken off of them and their parents and leaders informed.

Do we need to bring extra money?
No. No extra money is needed as the cost of the camp is paid by your fee. However, you may wish to bring a small amount to purchase things from the site.

How will the camp be fun?
The camp will be run by the 4 Explorers who have organised and booked the camp. You will be treated as an Explorer and not a a Scout so that you are able to see what the life of an Explorer is.
