9th B&D - Thriftwood - May 2001

The 9th B&D took two of their own patrols as well as two patrols from the 2nd Havering to Thriftwood for a weekend. The patrols camped on a large site which was split in half and shared with another group (our original site was far too wet to allow camping). Most of the Scouts were quite young...indeed for almost all of the 9th it was their first Scout camp and only the 2nd for the most most experienced Scout! However they excelled themselves and really got stuck into things.

The weekend ran very well and not only did they enjoy the camp but they very quickly picked up some good camping skills and worked together as a patrol.
