Chess Competition - 15 January - 17th B&D HQ

We had 15 Scouts from 4 Troops enter this year. After 7 rounds in the Swiss system the standings were:

Individual
1st place - David Fox - 16th B&D
2nd place - Lewis Pruce - 9th B&D
3rd place - Geoff Morley - 9th B&D

Troop Trophy
9th and 16th B&D

Leaders will receive a score card for each Scout detailing their games and standings.

My thanks to the 17th for kindly hosting the event and supplying the refreshments. Thanks also to the judges and admin people.

Mark Sutton Competition - 29 January 2005 - 10/18th B&D HQ

The results of the 2005 Mark Sutton are:

1st - 6th Ravens - 93.5 points
2nd - 7th/9th Sharks - 88 points
3rd - 10/18th Simpsons - 84.5 points
4th - 16th Eagles - 79 points

Scout Rally/Maurice Pass Trophy Weekend - 19/20 March 2005 - Thriftwood

Thanks to the 17th Cooking Crew
Thanks to all the leaders who manned bases and run sessions and games
Thanks to Blondie, Stuart and Peter from Explorers who volunteered their services.

We experimented with a system to not only give the patrols more choice but to allow inexperienced patrols to compete on an even footing with those more skilled.

My thanks to the 11 patrols from 10 groups who turned up on the day. If you enjoyed the day then please spread the word and tell the rest of your troop and encourage them to attend next year.

A big thank you to the 22 leaders and 11 Explorer Scouts who helped to man bases and incidents and ensured the safety of all participants throughout the day. You all did a sterling job and quite simply the event could not have taken place without your help. Thank You.

5 a side Football - 11 June 2005 - May & Bakers

The results for this years 5-a-side Football competition are:
