I'm a Scout - Get me out of here! - August 2008
The 19th, 10th/18th and the 1st all went to Thriftwood in August for "I'm a Scout, Get Me Out of Here!". It was fun and exciting because it was something different.
We had six activities to do and they were climbing, tobogganing, rifle shooting and orienteering etc. But they were fun, especially rifle shooting and tobogganing.
We had nice lovely food to eat because for breakfast we had cereal cooked breakfast. For dinner we had sausages, spag. Bol., barbeque and curry. They all were lovely because we cooked them ourself.
We had campfires and one of the nights we had to put on a play which was fun because we had something to do. It had to include a short play, two jokes and a couple of camp songs.
One of the days we had a water activity day and we all got soaked, even our leaders. But we smelt after because the water smelt.
It wouldn't have been a Scout camp without our leaders Baloo (Scott), Woody (Rick), Kingoo (Don) and hafine (Wendy). So a big thank you to them.
The king was Lucas and the queen was Katia. We voted on Friday night instead of voting each day. And we found out who was king and queen on Saturday morning.

I went to a camp in Thriftwood on the 4th to the 10th of August. It was fun because we were split into 2 groups, on of them was called Snake Pit and the Croc Rock.
The first day we were there we had to make our campsite by getting rid of all the leaves, twigs and mud. After we done our campsite we got set on our dining area, it took days. So we had to use the other team's eating area. Some of the activities we did was wall climbing, bob sleighing and water activities. Near the end of the camp we had to vote a king and queen. Cameron became prince and Katy and Charlie became princesses. The king was Lucas and Katia was queen. At the end of the camp Katia was carried out ona chair with wood on both sides made by Declan.
