Chess Competition - 13 January 2007- 17th B&D HQ

We had 15 Scouts enter this year. After 7 rounds in the Swiss system the standings were:

Swimming Gala - 10 February 2007 - Dagenham Swimming Pool

Well done and thank you to everyone who helped and took part in the Gala. Congratulations to the winners. On the day a mistake was made and it was NOT announced that the 6th had achieved
joint second place in section F.

St. George's Day

This year we held our 'St George's Day Parade' at our Centenary Camp

5 a side Football - 9 June 2007- May & Bakers Sports GroundVenue

We had 14 teams this year divided into two leagues of 7. Each team got to play at least 6 games and on the whole the excellent sportsmanship and Scouting principles were on show for all to see, as well as some good football skills. The top two teams from each league went on to play each other in a mini-league for the finals. Well done to everyone who turned up on the day and played through some fun but exhausting matches. My thanks to all the Scouts, leaders and parents who supported the event.

Camping Competition - 7/8 July - Chigwell Row Guide Campsite

We had two teams in the Len Bridge this year (7th and 8th) and four in the St. George's (6th, 9th, 10/18th and 16th). Well done to the 28 Scouts who attended, I hope they all went away knowing a little more about camping than they did when they arrived. My thanks to all the leaders who helped during the weekend but especially to Dave for running the Len Bridge, Marc, Stuart and Peter for helping throughout the weekend and to Rose and Ken for judging the St. George's.
