Introduction
In
Barking and Dagenham we have fourteen Groups and two Explorer units,
we also have an active Scout Fellowship.
Whether you are young or old Scouting has something to offer you, even if you only have one evening a month we would still like to welcome you to the Barking and Dagenham Scouting family.

New look website launched
The new look to the District website was implemented on 2nd May 2008
The previous design had survived for the past 8 years intact and served its purpose well. The new look site should prove easier to use and navigate.
If you have any problems using the new site, or wish to suggest some changes or additions, please feel free to contact Darren Dowling.
RSS Feeds
The new look District website relies upon RSS feeds in order to keep you up to date with the latest changes.
Rather than maintaining a page on the site which lists all the changes, news of the latest updates can be sent straight to your computer as soon as they happen.
To subscribe to the feed simply "click" or select the RSS icon. Your browser will then ensure that it is setup to receive the latest information on the site.
If you have any problems using RSS please feel free to contact Darren Dowling.
May Woodsmoke
Woodsmoke is the newsletter for B&D Scout District. Published monthly, the newsletter keeps everyone involved in Scouting in the local area up to date with reports on events, information on activities, news and important updates.
The May edition is now available
Forum
The forum allows you to chat with leaders and Scouts within the District. Why not share ideas and take advantage of the wealth of information and resources that are to be found on the forums.
Please note that any 'private' details, or specific names/dates/times should NOT be posted in ANY of the sections on the Forums. The entire Forum is viewable by the public.
